Through careful design and thoughtful symbolism, the Town Hall Veterans’ Memorial provides a fitting tribute to these heroes. It stands as a place for the community to gather, reflect, and express their gratitude.

The development of a conceptual master plan for the Winchester Rotary’s Centennial Celebration to create a new welcoming identity for the Town Hall.

The mission of the master plan was to bring clarity to the building’s entry and design a new Veterans’ Memorial within the Town Hall Square.

The concept created a new entry fountain, pedestrian crosswalk island with wayfinding banner light poles announcing town events.

The Winchester Rotary, as part of their Centennial Celebration, requested a conceptual design for a new veterans’ memorial. The town’s memorial had fallen in disrepair and lacked space for veterans’ names beyond the Vietnam War.

Coinciding with our master planning, the catastrophic event of 9/11 transpired, reinforcing our concept decision to place the memorial across the street from the Town Hall in a town neighborhood park, creating a place of peace and joyful remembrance.
